Their bodies, adorned with body paint, pearls, and jewels, meander along the great fire. Sensual, dangerous, provocative, and arousing. Everyone participated in their own way in the ritual, the dance, the ceremony. Screaming or singing, in a trance or searching for the great nothingness. They each had their own story, but now there was something that brought them together, made them look in the same direction. While sweat dripped from their bodies, eyes filled with lust, despair, and bliss, the fire was fanned by the wind and rhythmic chants were played. Loud and minimal, then rousing and hard. The more the sounds penetrated the crowd, the more excited they became. The rhythm took over their thoughts and actions, creating a veil where dreams were just the beginning.
