The effect of these substances is akin to that of a chemical weapon — people literally lose their human form, harming themselves and others, plagued by extreme paranoia and hallucinations, often coupled with heightened libido and an insatiable desire to get high. Rape, severed genitals, gouged-out eyes, persecution mania, and the obsessive search for bugs and microchips within their own bodies — it all made me wonder: is madness shaped by external reasons, or do its seeds initially exist within?
